Ingredients:

200g marzipan 200g nougat

1-2 Tbsp. forms rose water 200g caster sugar

200g dark chocolate

From the nougat balls about 2 cm in diameter (there about 24 pieces). Spheres are then cold. The marzipan with powdered sugar and rose water to knead a smooth mass. As the oldest son the family would be really me, was the first to marry one of my siblings. However, given the right woman is not (yet) appeared in my life, I left my younger brother go first.

Actually, I would just very hard on my presentation work for tomorrow, but time for a few lines to such an important date as it is today has to be simple. :-)

four months we are already here and the culture shock is finally overcome. Actually I've never thought much of that term, but since I have to just use my knowledge from the study. :-) A culture shock that is has 4 phases. In the beginning is the so-called "honeymoon phase" where everything is great. I might not necessarily say that in the beginning everything was great, but at least exciting and new. Then came the "crisis" created by me for the most part due to sheer boredom and linguistic barriers. Ok and the fact that we are so dependent on another is that one is locked up here like this (the day it's too hot in the dark, we should not out) that one can not simply rely on a lot that you will generally always stared at, etc. And then come the stages of " recovery "and" Adaptation. " I quote Wikipedia "The person has been integrated into the new culture, she understands the culture and takes part even behavioral characteristics of the foreign culture." now is it really true that I have to criticize anything at Fortaleza and the life here. Of course there are still all the problems mentioned, but it's just that I got used to it and do not mind anymore. I am a bit " sad when I pull for the internship (which I still do not) in the south and all the good people will leave here. That just does not fit, if there are giant Santas and decorated fir trees and hang in the windows bikinis. As for Christmas lights in the streets, Brazilians are crazy. So I would not expect any ... Nevertheless, the Christmas spirit is far from even, which could be probably because there is still time for a month.

Yes, this heart necklace with a vintage look is really made of paper. :-) In my work I am also cleaning up the "banana paper" encountered. What I originally wanted to do with it, I certainly do not remember. But this realization I like it, and now adorns our living room door.

This requires:

1 sheet banana paper (it is quite fibrous and thick), pelmet fleece, more sewing needle (90),

again on Monday was a holiday - Proclamation of the Republic - that is, we have used the long weekend and are again a little out of town.

Friday night were Sina, Vani and I went with a couple of Brazilians in a he bar and then in Mucuripe. The Mucuripe is reportedly the largest metropolitan area in Brazil, Disco, but sooo big it seemed to me not again. So far, we had the entry too expensive, but on Friday it was sooo good that we go back quickly. I would be so happy on Saturday, there's Abba-show, but at just under 30 € I have to enter me but then think again. Friday night there was definitely a concert, "Netinho" from Bahia was there. Vani and Sina were there at the beginning not so good for his style of music "Axé" has the two do not like, but then I took them to another "floor" and then dragged the night was also the first to 5:30 over. :-)

Stupid, we did get up at 7 again, because the bus to Canoa Quebrada run against 8 , but no problem. In Canoa we went to 1 and had problems the first Pousada to find. Saturday morning was again a buggy tour on the plan. Which again was fun, but unfortunately was not quite as good as the first in Morro Branco. We have some heart kept in the dunes and were then with a kind of chair-lift (but just down) slide into the water (right). After the tour, Sina has already left us and the rest of the day looked quite the same as the first. Only that we have made it our cozy with a few drinks at the Pousada and then went first to the Freedom Bar are.
Vani, Bernd and I had breakfast Monday and have yet tasty Clock 12:40 the bus returned. On Rodoviaria (bus station) the bus came, we needed to come home, not once again and we have been waiting forever. Until then someone came and has said that the moves on holidays somewhere else ... my beloved Brazil. :-)
Now it is 2 weeks and then the university is already over. 2 presentations must have thought and 2 exams are written ... that is, in the near future we will probably have a little bit worry about the duty! :-)
Oh, that reminds me just a little bit. Last week was from Tuesday-Thursday evenings always such an event from the university. That was really interesting. It was always nice food (very important), and lectures. On the first night me my Recursos Humanos lecturer, the German exchange teacher Hans-Peter Benedict of the University in Eberswalde presented. Vani and I have so long after the presentations have talked with him and eaten, that somehow they were all gone and he has brought us home. Very nice! The next day, he then made a presentation on German-Brazilian cultural differences kept and that was just embarrassing. Imagine that: a room full of people, it is asked how to get well welcomed in Germany, my Recursos Humanos lecturer calls pure "Cindy knows the safe" (hahahaha) and all heads turn around and stare at me! Unfortunately, I have also just talked to my neighbors and did not even know what it was, however, Hans-Peter has saved me and meant that it would be too easy. :-) Later, then such a comedian, Luiz Neto or so, as an entertainment program and has made some joke again, and all have been staring ... terrible. :-)

So, and on we go.

On the third day we have for breakfast on a small trek through the jungle issued. Ceciliano showed us all sorts of trees un d herbs explained, and over to build crowns and bracelets. :-) I think overall we have run 3 hours through the forest and my (usually really good) orientation was lost very quickly. On the way back, he then guided by the sun and brought us safely to lunch. Afternoon we were just several hours by boat on the water and animals have observed and listened to howler monkeys. We have mainly seen any Birds and toucans as well as several monkey families and dolphins in the sunset ... very romantic. :-)

For lunch we were back "home" and around 9 we went to a party right Amazonas. That was almost a small culture shock. Throughout the day our family went there oldest rum in the clothes and then came at once to send evening dresses and high heels from the wooden hut. Since then we felt a bit stupid in front of our shorts, and probably be embroidered T-shirts. :-) The party was 15 Birthday of a girl and it was certainly more than 100 people there, even if I still do not know where came from all. The 15th Birthday girl will probably always here celebrated as great, why I could not really answer, but my guess is that they come after the marriage market, has been confirmed, more or less by our driver in Manaus. We were of course the aliens again at the party, but it has still been really fun and it was sooo delicious cake. :-)

The next day we went to make rubber and have first met other tourists. After we exchanged short, our paths have also separated again and we went to the village. The "village" consists of a school, a doctor, a church and two corner shops, but in which the most were flat screens - Brazil, land of contrasts. The next day was Vanis birthday, we started with a delicious breakfast jungle. Then we went to a pineapple plantation and have eaten fresh mangoes from the trees. For lunch there was a delicious birthday cake, the Vani and I have eaten half of it ... we were not supposed to take, unfortunately. And then it was, unfortunately, again say goodbye and make the long return trip to Manaus - one hour boat, an hour's VW bus and then boat. On the last boat we met two Englishmen, who we met at the beginning, and with the two we have then spent the rest of the day. Our return flight was in the morning to 1 and the other by 2 So we were still in Manaus in the best most exclusive restaurant, which we were well aware of until we were sitting there. these 4 days sealed off from everything, really had a great experience. Nature is wonderful and it is amazing how little material things but you can actually get along. We in Germany are really fortunate that we are having such a good life. Which should be just aware now and then ... :-)

juhuuu, we were not eaten by piranhas, we are still stuck with the monkey! Vani and I are (of course already on the last Tuesday) arrived safely back in Fortaleza and have successfully completed the jungle adventure. :-)
