Salzburg

The first stop of my vacation in Austria was Salzburg. That the journey had started here, in particular logistical reasons. I could well travel easily by air, by train Anne. In addition, the city is in a comfortable distance from the actual target of the holiday, the southeastern Alps. Since we have been here, we combined the business with pleasure and set about exploring the extensive tourist Salzburg.

Salzburg is very good for a short stay. The city has a thousand year old history and is structurally very well received, with architecturally baroque buildings are very present. Since in the old town almost no eyesores and Salzburg are also embedded in a beautiful alpine scenery, the town is extremely picturesque, almost too perfect. As so often with this kind preserved and spruced up old towns, has the whole part, some museum-like in itself. Nevertheless, it is worth visiting, there are many churches and historic buildings to explore and you can by surrounding the town surveys enjoy superb views to the bishopric. After two days, however, everything is seen so that we could well move further towards the mountain.
