Esther's visit and Morro Branco

As announced we had from Thursday to Sunday visit, Esther was there. :-)
it arrived Thursday morning at 8 with us and then there was the first time yummy breakfast. The rest of the morning, we actually only gegammelt and energies for the City tour, which was later on the program, collected. To 1, we wanted to be with Sina on Dragão do Mar - Fortaleza cultural center - meet for coffee, but neither one worked with Sina nor the coffee. The cafe had occurred at about half second and Sina But all this was not bad and we have razed the city tour. Mercado Central, where there are all sorts of stuff, Cathedral, tourist-center, train station Pó de Guaraná break (such a strange but delicious drink made from nuts, milk, water, ice and syrup), drama, chaos and re-center and Cathedral on-5 then finally in the café. The girls all had a little snack and I get my new favorite pineapple juice with mint. Then we went home, have made delicious salad and the other 3 are again went to the Beira Mar market, but that I once again no joy. Once a week is anything to me then. :-)
Friday we awoke, had breakfast delicious and then again for the first time we knew not what we should do with the rest of the day. Actually the beach has always very good, but as Esther already had a sunburn from the city tour, we felt that as not such a good idea. Sights, we had already shown you all, that was nothing more. Fortaleza is really nice, but if you do not like the beach / can, then somehow not much more going on. We have We then decided to "50 Sabores" to kidnap. There are 50 different flavors of ice cream (including beer and caipirinha), which can taste it all before deciding. After that we walked for 10 kilometers at the long beach to get rid of all the calories. :-) Can be the first to the fish market where you buy, for example, fresh shrimp and cook the same, and then to observe the viewing platform to watch the sunset. Unfortunately it was cloudy and we could not see much. In the evening we went back to the Dragão do Mar for something to eat and to meet with Italo, Barbara, Andrew and Sina.
Saturday morning we went again on big journey. We spontaneously decided to 80km away Beach of Morro Branco "to drive. We thought that the bus leaves every half 8, but then he's only an hour later and went to breakfast we had more time. So we have set ourselves in such a small bite to eat. All this has a name, but unfortunately I have not noticed it. At the lagoon we made a long bath and swimming break and at the A real rock tour. There are 12 different colors of sand (a small selection is on the photo), that was really interesting, but looked a bit like this as if there is someone filling up every morning the colored sand. :-) But it was really a buggy ride has so much fun .
Then there was a pool or hammocks pause I personally went for the latter - before then there was food in the restaurant next door and we spent the evening again with fun card games. As we have shared a room for five, somebody had to sleep in the hammock and then I've just sacrificed. I must say that I could sleep better in it than I thought. It is of course increasing with every movement, but otherwise it was okay. :-)
Sunday morning we first had breakfast extensively, packed our stuff and played cards again. Then a few hours relaxing by the pool (beach do they always) and 3 came to the bus that took us back into the big, stressful city. And Sunday evening, Esther has left us then and again. This was again a very nice weekend, but the next I am also again, because on Thursday I go Vani and again surprise on long trips ... Let you! Oh, and if we do not back Tuesday, then we were probably eaten by piranhas or have decided to keep us in the monkeys. ;-)

Conclusion - Three months active holiday in Brazil

And again is past one month ... Slowly, I remember not too much, as far as the bottom line, but a few lines I will now probably still write, simply because of the habit. :-)

After 3 months it has finally got the first results in the university, which have been more or less well. The staff at the university here is a bit different, so it does not go from 1.0 to 4 / 5, 0, but of 10 to 0, with 10 being the highest possible, of course, achievable Score is. Which one has passed, we know, unfortunately, still not as accurate. Because somehow the spirits depart. In itself, would be 5 yes logical, but the tendency is rather to 7 Well, never mind. The marketing exam is not in any event failed sooo good. There was a 8.1 and it was already well above the average. We Germans have even received a commendation and the Brazilians should learn it better for the next exam with us. Hahaha, really funny lecturer. And then I ended up in a most embarrassing way my Human Resource Score. I came so too late for class and then the teacher says something at one time with Cindy and 9 and all look at me and I've just done puzzled. :-) We have Exam to get yet, but I'm probably a 9.5. So I can make friends very well.

On Sunday evening I was with Vani and Andre in the cinema, even though Monday was exam was-so or so meaningless, we could write with a Brazilian together and documents used and the tasks were still intractable for us but we now rest just at the foreigner bonus out, they probably think anyway all that we are stupid. We have "Eat, Pray, Love" and watched the movie has somehow brought me to think. Now I've been 3 months here, that is the first part of the whole stay abroad is almost over and I am beginning to panic, that I do not get everything all that I wanted to do yet or no longer see everything what I wanted to see more . The semester is the beginning of December to the end and then actually has the time here in Fortaleza to and that is now but a shame. But the blow is of course no reason for sadness, but rather to the period of intensive use, and all take what is coming! I've also tried the same into action. Today were the people from Ubajara us to a large pancake-eating and then they wanted to Beira Mar market, so I can not see now, but I went along anyway and it was really funny.

Oh, I remember just a little about Brazil, I have not mentioned. When it comes to this strike, then the good and at times also take several weeks. This month went on strike as the banks for 2 weeks. There simply hung signs with "Estamos em Greve" (We are on strike) on the windows and you could only use the ATM machines and even the specific times only. I mean I do not care, except I'm double executed run for free, but if you really want something and the wait for 2 weeks, then I think this is already a long time.

So here is finally the weekend report. After
Cathleen told us last week that it will not be on her birthday in Fortaleza have Vani and I also decided spontaneously Driving away. This was initially even so spontaneous that we would have had almost no accommodation more. We then had a pousada (hostel) Call to 6 minutes have made my entire balance empty, 6 € simply gone. So was our trip to Ubajara no more obstacles. 6:30 Saturday morning we met already with Manuel, Peter, Cindy 2 and Mara at the bus station and made our way inland to the mountains. I think it's always a pity that in general I always sleep in vehicles must, here you can somehow always look so much if you stay awake, but unfortunately I do that never last long. It is really amazing how the people here to live in the hinterland, Sun and completely sealed off by itself, is simply unthinkable for us Europeans. After nearly 8-hour drive we arrived somewhere in nowhere. At the bus station in Ubajara there was really nothing except for 2 taxis, which we have been longing for. Vani and I went then at random m it to the Pousada of others, in the hope that maybe we can also get there and it has worked. In the "Sitio do Alemão" we were greeted by the German owners Herbert and there were absolutely no problems. Vani and I've just shared a hut with Manuel and that has passed. The Pousada was in the woods and isolated total, So we first have to run nearly 2 km to find a restaurant. When we were back at Herbert, it was only at 6 and we did nothing really to do with us. So we borrowed a flashlight and made a night hike. It was really so funny, like on a school trip in the 4th Class. :-) The road has paid off, however, because we came out on a really nice view point and had a view over the entire valley. The rest of the evening we all spent playing cards with old school.
Sunday morning we got up very early to take us for a super tasty breakfast (with homemade bread) on the way to the Parque Nacional de Ubajara. There we have then a 5-hour hike through the forest made. Up and down, from vantage points over, waterfalls seen and observed for the first time monkeys in the wild. The final piece was then only a steep hill, but we were rewarded with a great cave. A cable car has brought us again all up and then we finally made our highly deserved Eispause. But this has not been enough and we decided to eat right nor correct. At half past 5, we were then in the restaurant and there we were sitting forever, for what else it did not even do. The way back was again funny because it was pitch dark and only the stars have lit the path. :-) The day then ended with a frog-shower, there were just so many frogs in the shower, it would have made no sense to chase all.
Monday morning we met up with Herbert and two Brazilians, for Herbert wanted to take us on a trip to another waterfall "Cachoeira do Frade. We have held only briefly at a dam, whose name was once again "O Alemão" and then we started our next hike. We all had no idea what to expect, but Herbert said that we must go about a mile. That it is much more and even a real climb, we could not guess so. The first piece was relatively pleasant, but at some point we are on such narrow paths long run, that all the legs were scratched. Then we had even through water and the shoes were already wet. Once we climbed a bit then we have made the first stop for swimming in the waterfall. That was just really fantastic, because there were absolutely no people in sight. The day before we were really in a great tourist-force, but there was the whole time no one but us and that was great. After the first break, the climb was also more extreme. Eventually we had to hand over hand, swinging from a rock face down and then just before the end I was sent at the end of my tether and I have prayers to heaven. The last part was just 90 degrees downwards and Herbert before us, no matter how telling a beautiful story that is as crashed 2 weeks ago someone a leg and an arm broken and sustained a concussion has. It took a whole day until help got there and then came the fire and the injured party was somehow hoisted with a stretcher because again, I have no idea how, abe r, there has hardly worked. So we have all the girls protested, but then I got me a jerk and given up on the 2 Brazilians, who have given up, we have mastered all the last part. And we should be rewarded. We are then climbed behind the waterfall and just have peace on earth found. :-) So I could really relax, but unfortunately, because of the way back, I still worried. But that was then only half as bad and even though it was uphill all the time, it went very fast and exciting adventure was already over. All this has taken again 4 or 5 hours and we needed in any case directly back to strengthen our favorite restaurant, "Maria Bonita". The last evening was again spent with a variety of card games and on Tuesday morning we had 7:30 Good bye again.
All in all, but it was really a great trip, I would not hesitate to recommend them. It was just nice again to see something other than the beach and a little to move. The sore muscles and the completely wet, stinking, new shoes were worth anything. And in the morning and evening, it was even so "cold", that took a long time things finally back. So, mastered a super nice change and the dress rehearsal for the Amazon with flying colors!

So, after a long break, this time is probably what I missed but what I experienced. Almost 2 weeks I've caught something and I really happening I still am not. Monday a week ago I had dinner at a time chills and body aches. I tell you, chills makes here so no Sense and it is particularly not easy to warm themselves, if you do not even have a proper blanket. Since I have my first desired time, I would have taken me a long sleeping pants. :-) Well, I was eating from there and not keep everything and then somehow held on until Friday and then almost a week after I was in bed, I'm desperate and I've decided at last to the doctor to drive. Guilherme I was then immediately taken to the hospital and I was really afraid of having to stay there, but I had not fortunately. Even the smell is totally different there than here. Then we went to the emergency room and were allowed to first wait forever. The doctor measured blood pressure, even in the eye and on the tongue and a little rumgedrückt on his belly and that was it. Results: drink plenty of Gatorade and take antibiotics. And that cost me 75 €. The antibiotic should cost 100 €, but there I have it but rather for the cheaper option chosen. Saturday was better and I finally released Sunday evening after almost a week I finally leave the house again. We
people also had a visit from Salvador, Michelli was from Thursday to Tuesday at us and I could not do almost anything with it all the time. Sunday evening I was with her but with us in the market. It was really an act I do not know how long exactly, but for me too long, we are there running around and she has carved her money on his head. My energy has it still was not enough, so I'm really moved me in the end only from bank to bank.
For now here is the first exam period and Monday we wrote marketing, that it had to be Sunday also still a little bit done. It was the turn of including true-or-false tasks, which in another language is somehow not sooo easy. But yes you should already understand every word. Well, let's see what result it comes out at the end. After graduating college, wanted Vani and I went with Michelli the Praia do Futuro and we wanted to meet her at a central bus station. With 2 hours late, it is then finally arrived ... The beach itself we had not so much time, but sc Hoen it was anyway. On weekends there is always full of exaggeration, but this is nothing going on in the week, very pleasant. Otherwise there is not really much to tell. On Thursday I was still writing out an exam, that was the laugh, because alongside normal teaching was done. So I just do not understand what the talk there, but would have me as a Brazilian somehow annoyed.
2 weeks ago we were on a boat party. It was actually quite cool, although it figures everything Brazilian. At 9, we should be there because the boat was set off by 10. Even when we are half arrived 10 there was almost nobody there. The organizer came sometime around 11, so we finally 11:30 all were on the boat. But we could not go directly to the boat, but had to first on a kind of small raft ... totally funny. On the boat and the party itself, it was then great, even if the waves could not really dance, but this one had a super view over the city.
So, this weekend is once again a long and it is also something planned, but more then likely next week!
